And a happy New Year!
Wherever you are in the world, we just wanted to say a huge Merry Christmas and a happy New Year from the three of us at A Brit and a Broad.
Here’s what we’ve got to say:
Happy Holidays to you all. We’re excited at some of the opportunities we’ve received, all from your support over the last year. It’s been a total trip (literally and figuratively) and we can’t wait to show you more of this expansive, amazing world.
Wherever you are in the world, don’t forget that the people you’ve grown up with, supported or been supported by over the years are probably missing you – so make sure you make time for your loved ones; they’ll always be there for you.
It seems absolutely absurd that I am writing a 2015 wind down post! This year has gone by in a flash and while this seems to happen more and more quickly every year, this one has also been the most life altering, magical and rewarding.
What we have been able to do in a fairly short time has really taught me, and continues to teach me, a lesson in embracing fear, embracing change and the power that we have to create our own lives.
I am so incredibly grateful for the support that we’ve had; the people who watch and subscribe to our videos, who read our posts week after week, who have traveled with us to all these incredible destinations.
I always have you in mind when we’re filming or when we’re somewhere amazing because that’s really the goal of this project – 1) show the world to you ,and 2) to show you that you can do it too. You can do whatever that fearful thing is and it can change your life.
I am also very aware of how incredibly lucky we are to be living where we we are and to have the freedom to actually chase this goal in life and be able to live this dream. I am also very much aware that is not the case for a lot of people in the world.
So, I am wanting to wish everybody a very happy holiday season and an extraordinary 2016, and I truly hope that you take a moment to see where you’re at and just be there; just be present with it. See all the amazing things that this world is offering to you, see the people in your life.
Really, we are so lucky to have the freedom to travel as we do and to do the thing that we love.
It’s really my wish this year that everybody finds that gratitude in their heart and takes a moment to be present with your family, be present wherever you are in the world and to make 2016 a year that surprises you.
Merry Christmas everyone! I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all our friends and followers from around the world.
Wow. What a journey 2015 has been, and none of this would’ve been possible without your support along the way.
When the three of us shot our first series together in 2014, none of us ever expected it to become as popular as this. We’ve got some really big ideas for 2016, and we plan on shooting in some great countries (more on this soon), so make sure you keep an eye out for that.
Thank you again everyone and have a great Christmas!
