Macedonia Travel Blogs

Macedonia may be landlocked with five countries surrounding it but it does have one of the most beautiful bodies of water we’ve ever come across – Lake Ohrid. Seriously, this place is next level.
The thing about Macedonia is you’ll struggle to find a country with more history. After all, this was the birth place of King Philip the 2nd and his son Alexander the Great. Yep, Macedonia used to have one of the biggest empires the world’s ever seen. If you really want to see history come to life then Macedonia is the place for you!
I spent two or three hours walking among the ruins and walls of Heraclea Lyncestis and I didn’t come across a single tourist. Not a single one.
Ohrid is a stunning little lakeside town that deserves its reputation as one of the places to see in Macedonia. All you have to do is explore it for yourself.
