Ulcinj is a bit of a strange place because it is neither one town nor the other, a bit of a no man’s land that both Albania and Montenegro feel is theirs.

These are all of our Ulcinj travel blogs at A Brit and a Broad.
Ulcinj is the small seaside town on the southcoast on Montenegro, very close to Albania. Like most seaside towns, it is an amazing place to kick back and relax for a few days, and like all of Montenegro it has some beautiful beaches and wonderful stretches of coastline.
Ulcinj is one of the oldest settlements along the Adriatic coast dating back to the 5th century, and it has a church there that’s over 2,000 years old (it’s an awesome place for a spot of lunch). However, the thing about Ulcinj is it’s neither one town nor the other; it’s in this halfway house being half Montenegrin, half Albanian. Still, it’s one of those places you just have to see for yourself!
