As a thank you to all our friends and followers, we’re giving you the opportunity to win the trip of a lifetime with the #ThruTheQ competition
To celebrate Aer Lingus’s brand new route to New York City, we’re giving you the opportunity to test it out for yourself and win the trip of a lifetime with the #ThruTheQ competition.
Aer Lingus’s new route is via Dublin (a cracking city; you should check out if you haven’t already done so), and despite being on the other side of the Atlantic the flight to New York City only takes seven hours. This means it is feasible to visit the city for a long weekend (trust us on that one).
Now, you’re probably wondering why we’re partnering with Aer Lingus. Well, apart from the fact that they’re one of the most respected airlines in Europe with an impeccable safety record, they’re actually the cheapest airline to fly to New York City with (and to other parts of America too), and with think that deserves a mention!
Not only do Aer Lingus fly to New York City, but they also fly to Boston, Chicago, Orlando, San Francisco and Washington.
And when we said they’re cheap, we really mean it. A quick search has thrown up flights to New York City for as cheap as £395 return. Bargain.
#ThruTheQ (or rather ‘through the queue’) is Aer Lingus’s latest promotion to offer the next level of customer service. Essentially, Dublin is the only city that has been given clearance from US Customs Border Protection for passengers to clear immigration before they arrive in New York City.
If you fly from Dublin, you will be pre-cleared for your flight to NYC, so when you arrive all you need to do is go #ThruTheQ, pick up your bags and you’re off – no waiting around at immigration for you! Allowing people to arrive as domestic passengers in the U.S makes the overall experience of travelling to the States from the UK that much easier, giving you more time to do what you want to do.
